Courier charges split into what the goods weigh and the extra billed for air in the box (dimensional weight above actual weight), plus boxes and void fill.

How the plan is made
- Current practice is simulated: the packer picks the smallest of three stock boxes (C, G, H) whose volume is at least 1.4× the goods, and splits into more H boxes when an order won't fit.
- Planned tries every enabled box, fits items in 3D with rotation, and picks the carton with the lowest total of courier charge, box cost and void fill. Orders that fit no single box are split to the cheapest combination found.
- Courier charge is billed on the greater of actual weight (goods + box) and L×W×H ÷ divisor, rounded up to the next 0.5 kg. Cartons cap at 25 kg.
What this is, and isn't
A working demo on made-up SKUs for "Kettle & Crate", a fictional homeware retailer. Rates and box prices are illustrative. On a real engagement the same approach runs on your order history, box stock and carrier rate card, and the result is a projection until it's run live.
